How You Can Make More Money
With A Lawyer Website
From: Steve M. Bingman, Esq.
Dear Fellow Lawyer:
Here's a fact: Websites benefit lawyers in two distinct ways.
First, merely having a lawyer website enhances a lawyer's professional appearance. People
tend to expect lawyers to have a website. During the first three years of my having a website,
numerous clients commented to me that they had "looked up" my website to verify my phone
number, FAX number, or address. They also appeared to be reassured of my legal abilities simply
by looking at my website. Further, clients like my email address being the same as my website.
Having my name @ my website lookes more professional that having some variation of my name
@ yahoo.
Second, a website can bring in clients. I created a simple website for my law practice in
May 2004 and, while I benefited from my existing clients viewing it, I didn't gain any new clients
from the website. In November 2007, I decided to see if I could attract new clients through the
internet. I conducted keyword research, redesigned my website, and applied search engine
optimization techniques. It worked.
I am not going to mislead you and claim that my website brought in so much business that I
needed to hire additional lawyers and staff to handle the new work load. But I will tell you that
my website did bring in clients and that, because real estate law practice was so horrible in 2008,
I really do not know what I would have done in 2008 if I did not have the clients from the
internet.
The bottom line is that having a website is a benefit to a lawyer.
While merely having a website is almost a necessity, for a lawyer website to be successful in
bringing in clients, it must be seen by potential clients and it must encourage potential clients to
contact the lawyer. Most lawyers do not know that they can help their website be listed higher in
search engine results and therefore attract more potential clients. In other words, there are certain
things that can be done on a website and certain things that can be done on the internet outside of
the website that can improve a websites' listing in search engine results. We call this search
engine optimization (SEO). Effective lawyer websites use SEO to bring in more viewers and
more clients.
Now you can piggyback on my experience and my research and enjoy the benefits and profit
from them.
I have put together a turnkey service by which you can easily have a website that can do as
much or as little as you want. I call this service AttyClicks. It is available only to one to three
lawyer law offices because, as a solo practitioner, I want to help other small law firms. Also,
while I am glad to help every small law firm with a website, the "gaining clients" part of
AttyClicks is available only to a limited number of attorneys in each geographical area. Helping
two personal injury lawyers gain clients in the same town is a bit like representing both the
plaintiff and the defendant in the same case.
If you only want the benefits that come from having a lawyer website and are not concerned
with gaining clients from the internet, we can provide you with a website without internet
marketing. I call this service "1-L". It includes:
- Domain name registration
- Website design
- Website hosting (FREE with each
website)
- 3 Email Accounts (FREE with each
website)
- Ongoing management of website
If you want to gain clients from the internet, we can provide you with a website and internet
marketing. I call this service "2-L". It includes all of the "1-L" services plus these additional
services:
- Keyword research
- On-page SEO (search engine
optimization)
- Register website with major search
engines
- Register website with general, niche, and local
internet directories
- Ongoing building of backlinks for off-page
SEO (search engine optimization)
- Ongoing management of the internet marketing
program
Look at the internet and you will typically find that website design is a one time
charge of $1,000*, website hosting runs around $15* per month without any support services,
keyword research is a one time charge of $500*, search engine optimization (non-local) is $200*
per month, and local search engine optimization is $200* per month.
AttyClicks is a real bargain. A "1-L" website without internet marketing is only $47 a month,
and a "2-L" website with internet marketing is only $97 a month. And, you can cancel either
service at any time.
If you're like most lawyers, you want to know how can we provide all of these services for
such low monthly fees. The answer is what one of my lawyer friends calls "economies to
scale". We have different basic website templates that we use with different color schemes and
graphics/photos to give you a unique website. Also, because we deal only with lawyer websites,
much of the keyword research and SEO can be re-used. In other words, we do not have to
reinvent the wheel with each website.
Call me at 864-573-9889 or email me at steve@attyclicks.com. I need specific information to get your website up
and running. If you just have questions, that's fine. Call me. Initial consultations are free.
You can also check out the details of AttyClicks by clicking on the respective links on the right
side of this letter.
Stop! Don't put this off. Contact me now. Remember, AttyClicks is only available to a
limited number of attorneys in a geographical area. Except for very large cities, I will work with
only one lawyer per town in each area of practice.
Yours truly,
Steve M. Bingman
* These are
common fees and charges found on the internet. Some fees and charges may be significantly less
(ex. website design for $250) or significantly more (ex. website design for $6,000).
